Your Scheduled Time: If your move is scheduled in the morning your crew is dispatched so they will arrive at the time indicated on your file. Please understand, there are rare occasions where mechanical, weather or traffic difficulties may prevent your move from starting on time. If your move is scheduled in the afternoon, the two times indicate a window, commonly two hours. This window is still an estimated time of arrival only, unless otherwise indicated.
Your Start/End Time: The crew foreman will ask you to sign paperwork at the beginning and end of the move. Verify the times are correct. This is how your hours are calculated and billed. The clock begins when you sign them in and will end when you sign them out.
Minimum Time & Prorating: Each move has a 2 hour minimum. This means that even if your move only takes 1.5 hours to complete, you still pay for two. If the move goes over 2 hours you are eligible to have your charges prorated. The movers bill you in 15 minute blocks. Each 15 minute time increment will be charged at ¼ the hourly rate, this is per our tariff, and no exceptions can be made verbally or otherwise.
Truck/Travel Fee: This fee covers the cost of dispatching the truck, fuel, fleet maintenance, mileage, tolls (if needed), and all moving equipment on the truck as well as our vehicle insurance. The fee will vary based on the distance a job starts and finishes from the office. Each moving day including storage in and out and overnight storage will carry a separate truck fee. This fee is in addition to the hourly rate.
Material Charges: Our hourly rates include the cost for packing of all wooden, fabric and glass items. Materials we deem necessary to protect your belongings, that fall in the above category, will be used.
